[Statement] SBS Report Titled “Private Meeting Between Yoon and Lee Man-hee Two Months Before Presidential Election” Is Untrue

The article reported by SBS under the title “Private Meeting Between Yoon and Lee Man-hee Two Months Before Presidential Election” is entirely false. It is a clear case of false reporting that has distorted and expanded upon one-sided claims lacking objective evidence as if they were facts.

The report relies solely on a single anonymous testimony and fails to present any of the following: 1) physical evidence to substantiate an actual meeting; 2) basic fact-checking such as entry records, schedules, or confirmation of escorts; and 3) sufficient cross-verification of the parties involved.

In particular, raising such a serious allegation without undergoing even the minimum verification procedures as a media outlet can only be characterized as a serious dereliction of duty and malicious reporting.

The contents in question are clearly groundless, and we express strong regret over the induction of misunderstanding and social stigma regarding specific individuals and political judgments through such false claims.

Furthermore, we clearly state that we will take legal action against all acts of citing, reproducing, or expanding the dissemination of this false report.
